Boarding at Arrowhead Ranch

Arrowhead Ranch is a full service boarding facility dedicated to the safety and comfort of our equine friends. At Arrowhead Ranch, the well being of your horse is our first concern. The owner/manager, lives on site to provide security and immediate response in case of emergencies.

Arrowhead Ranch is open 7 days a week from dawn to dark. After dark, boarders may visit, but you are encouraged to phone before your arrival.

Twice Daily Feeding

At Arrowhead Ranch we adhere to a consistent feeding schedule. This consistency helps prevent many cases of colic and stable vices.

Unlimited Hay

At Arrowhead Ranch we believe that the amount of hay required to maintain a horse in top physical condition varies with each individual horse. We feed what it takes to keep your horse in top condition.

Supplements fed at No Extra Charge

With so many different philosophies on feeding, we have found it best to allow each boarder to choose and supply their own grain and supplements. We do not charge to give supplements, no matter how many your horse needs with each feeding.

Let’s face it, horses are most happy and healthy when they can feed as nature intended, grazing on fresh, green grass.  Unfortunately the climate in this part of New Mexico makes it nearly impossible!  Arrowhead Ranch provides a rare chance for your horses to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of grazing.  It’s also a wonderful chance to relax under the shade trees and bond with your equine partner. 

Twice Weekly Turnouts

Even though our paddocks are large enough to be considered turnouts in many places, every horse at Arrowhead gets turned out twice weekly in our large turnout field or one of the arenas. Once a new horse has adjusted, they are turned out first separately, then with 1 or 2 companions that have proven to be compatible. We keep our turnout groups small and consistent so that rough play is kept to a minimum. Horses whose owner prefers solo turnout can also be accommodated. Extra turnouts can be arranged when you can't make it out to exercise your horse.

Stall cleaning

7 days a week, 365 days a year, rain, snow, or shine. Arrowhead Ranch's staff is meticulous abut cleaning every part of every stall every day, thus preventing many health problems associated with unsanitary conditions. Shavings are included and extra can always be added, just ask!

Boarding Fees

            Long term -   $320.00 per month per horse for your first two

                                   $300.00 per month for your third horse and every one thereafter

            Short term (overnight and visiting boarders)

                                    $20.00 per night - our hay

                                    $15.00 per night - your hay
